Using the newest LED lighting technologies that help reduce consumption of energy and emissions of carbon while preserving the environment, the Municipality and Planning Department – Ajman (MPDA) completed a 20-kilometer road lighting project in the residential areas of Al-Raqaib and Al Yasmee. This project is part of the MPDA's endeavour to develop an integrated infrastructure throughout Ajman.

Accordingly, the General Director of the MPDA, His Excellency Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, stated that the organisation has approved an integrated plan for carrying out infrastructure development projects and provide them with the operational lighting they require. He also mentioned that the professionals employed by the Roads Department made an effort to finish the lighting project in the crucial residential areas that receive high volumes of traffic every day.

According to His Excellency, the interior road illumination project is being implemented in residential areas as a result of His Highness's directions. With the approval of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council and in accordance with Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Federal Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, may Allah protect him, develop and improve the residential area's infrastructure are provided to meet the demands of the city's growing population, enhance its quality of life and meet the objectives of Ajman's strategic indicators.

According to His Excellency, the project for AED 5 million satisfies the requirements of both locals and guests and aligns with the MPDA's goals of offering a luxurious and well-rounded lifestyle to everybody.

Dr. Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, the Executive Director of the MPDA's Infrastructure Development Sector, for his part, said that the MPDA implements lighting projects in line with planned strategies to cover all of Ajman and provide lighting for all areas. He added that qualified professionals carry out the projects throughout Ajman and continue their efforts in order to ensure the happiness and good quality of life of the community.
